“I don't want to be a pop star, I want to be a legend..."  -ALyX!

With her powerful voice and songs like “ParaNOID” and
“HOME” this Texas rocker just might do that!   “Keeping the
tradition of single-name singers alive and well,
ALyX! is
creating a buzz.”  Quotes North Texas Teens magazine during
a recent interview.

ALyX!'s  influences are many.  Carving out her own unique
sound, both lyrically and musically, is one way she hopes to
achieve her dreams.
ALyX! is the youngest member of
GoGirls, an organization that promotes women in music.
“When you’re fourteen years old, and going after your
dreams, you’re grateful for any guidance and direction you
can get.” explains
ALyX!  That’s precisely the attitude that led
her to record with top producers such as Charlton Pettus, Jeff
Franzel, Steve Walsh and Adrian Gurvitz.  “My music is about
what kids my age and, even adults can relate to—about
experiences they can reflect on.” explains
ALyX! in her North
Texas Teens interview.

ALyX! began her singing career, at the age of eight, in The
Greater Dallas Children’s Choir.  She was accepted a year
early because of her natural vibrato and perfect pitch.  While
with the Choir,
ALyX! was selected to sing for President Bush
and a Christmas special for the Dallas/Fort Worth NBC
affiliate.
ALyX!'s  first major appearance was on Star Search,
when she was just ten years old.  “I always knew that I wanted
to sing.  I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t singing.  I knew
what I wanted to be.”  With her relentless determination and
focus,
ALyX! immersed herself in all types of music, from
Blues to Country to Rock and Roll.
ALyX! has already made
the rounds at Deep Ellum venues in Dallas and continues to
expand her performance appearances nationally.

Recently,
ALyX! has been recording with Roger Gisborne, a
young producer from the U.K. who happens to live in Los
Angeles, California. His work with industry names such as
Mark Needham and Jeff Salzman of the Killers... Hot Fuss has
given rise to his demand by various artists in the U.K and U.S.
In addition, he has had music placed in films such as HBO,
Showtime, and various television shows, such as West Wing
and Queer as Folk to name a few.   I met Roger in LA, explains
ALyX!, “And when we started working together, I knew
immediately that he understood the kind of music I wanted to
create.”  Together, Roger and
ALyX! incorporated her love for
The Beatles, The Kinks, The Doors, The White Strips and Patsy
Cline into five exquisitely produced songs, which defined her
own sound.  “I'm very happy with the results.” States
ALyX!
“And I can hardly wait to go back to L.A. to finish recording my
album.  It’s an exciting process!”

When asked what kind of artist she aspires to be,
ALyX!
continues to explain that she wants her music to be
meaningful in peoples lives.  There is no doubt in anyone’s
mind who hears and sees
ALyX! that she’s got the drive and
determination to take her there.
